Prepare yourself for the family photoshoot

I highly recommend reading the FAQ page along with my guide on how to prepare for a professional photoshoot. I will resend links to these on the confirmation and reminder email.

You’ll have a wonderful time. I love capturing the family moments and my experience in helping people and customer service will definitely make the difference.

Viewing your family photographs

Normally, 1 week after the family photography session, I will share with you a link with the edited images so you can choose your favourites.

Ordering and collecting

Approximately 3 weeks after the viewing, your order will be ready (usually quicker for digital orders). I will give you a call or text to arrange delivery. Don't forget I have the option to spread the cost over a couple of months.

FAQs about family photography sessions

Where will our family portrait session take place?

My family photography sessions can be held in various locations, such as your home for a personal touch or outdoor settings like parks, woodlands, local landmarks and beaches. The choice depends on your family’s preferences and the desired aesthetic of the photos.

What should we wear for our family photoshoot?

Opt for comfortable clothing that reflects your family’s style. Coordinating colors without being overly matching works well. Avoid large logos or distracting patterns to keep the focus on your family’s expressions and connections.

What if the weather is unfavorable on the day of our outdoor session?

I would typically monitor the weather closely and if conditions are unsuitable, we will reschedule the session to ensure optimal lighting and comfort for your family.

What if my child doesn't behave?

There is no such thing as ‘doesn’t behave’ in my book. I want to capture family life, including all the emotions. It actually also helps that there is no posing and the children are free to play and be themselves.

I feel self-conscious about having my photos taken or being filmed.

I completely understand! Funny enough, I’m camera shy too. Before your session, we’ll have a chance to chat over the phone or via DMs to get to know each other. On the day of your shoot, we’ll take some time to settle in and get comfortable before I even pick up my camera. I’m confident that you—and any other shy family members—will feel at ease in no time.
