More than just a family photo session
Watch your baby grow
Baby Portrait Photography.
Following my newborn sessions, Sitter and 1st Birthday sessions, are perfect to document your baby’s first year. My goal is to ensure all these moments and portraits are preserved in artwork to be treasured forever. My aim is also to create relaxed and natural baby photography which capture their true personality.
I have created the perfect package, specially designed to highlight your baby’s milestones. My “Watch Me Grow” package includes 2 sessions – a Sitter session and a 1st Birthday session – capturing two of the most important milestones within the first year.
The Sitter session usually takes place when your baby is between 6 to 7 months old, when they can sit unaided, but aren’t crawling yet. The second session is when your baby is almost 1 year old, known as a 1st Birthday or a Cake Smash session. These sessions can take place at an outdoor location or in home, where you and your baby are the most comfortable.
If you had a newborn session with me, you might want to know that I offer a discounted price for you, as a thank you for trusting me hold your baby’s memories.

FAQs about baby portrait photography sessions
What is the best time of day to photograph a baby?
The best time of day to photograph a baby is generally morning or late afternoon. For morning: Babies are often happiest and most alert right after a good night’s sleep and a feed. The natural light is soft and flattering, especially if you’re planning an outdoor or natural light session.
Late Afternoon: This time, known as “golden hour,” offers soft, warm light that is perfect for photography. Babies are usually well-fed and relaxed after their afternoon nap.
How can I get my baby to smile for photos?
Getting a baby to smile naturally can be a bit tricky, but here are some tips:
First, try saying anything other than “cheese.” Instead, ask your baby to say a funny word or phrase that will make them laugh. You can also engage them in a game or activity that they enjoy. Capture the moments when they naturally smile or laugh.
Lastly, sing a silly song or make funny faces to get your baby to laugh and smile.
How can I make my baby comfortable during a photo shoot?
To ensure your baby is comfortable during a photo shoot, it’s important to keep them fed and well-rested. Scheduling the session around their feeding and nap times can help with their crankiness. Bringing along familiar props like their favourite blanket or toy can help them feel more secure. Maintaining a calm environment by keeping the room quiet and warm, and avoiding sudden movements or loud noises, is also key. Lastly, stay relaxed yourself, as babies can sense your emotions, and a calm parent will help them feel at ease.
Can we use some props for my baby photoshoot?
I highly recommend using props for your baby portrait photos. These can include soft blankets and swaddles, which provide comfort and can add texture to the photos. Baskets and bins can create a cosy and cute setting. Books and toys, as familiar items, help keep the baby engaged and happy. Flowers and fruits add colour and interest to the background, making the photos more visually appealing.
I feel self-conscious about having my photos taken or being filmed.
I completely understand! Funny enough, I’m camera shy too. Before your session, we’ll have a chance to chat over the phone or via DMs to get to know each other. On the day of your shoot, we’ll take some time to settle in and get comfortable before I even pick up my camera. If you don’t want to appear in any of the baby photos, is fine; however, I’m confident that you will feel at ease in no time and you can, if you want, to appear in the baby photoshoot session.
Can you capture the natural and candid moments of my baby?
As a baby photographer, capturing natural and candid moments of the infant is all about letting them be themselves. Allow your little one to Being a lifestyle photography session, I will encourage the baby to play and interact with their surroundings while I snap away. Patience is key here – waiting for those spontaneous smiles and expressions can make all the difference. Engaging with the baby by talking, singing, or playing with them to elicit genuine reactions.
